The Spyderco Manix 2 is a versatile folding knife, epitomizing Spyderco's superior craftsmanship from the USA and their signature Ball Bearing Lock™. Its robust blade, crafted meticulously from Crucible's elite CPM® S30V® particle metallurgy stainless steel, boasts a full-flat grind.
This ensures an ideal mix of sharp-edge design and durability. The blade's thumb ramp and index-finger choil feature textured grooves or jimping, enhancing the handle's ergonomic design and guaranteeing a comfortable yet secure grip. With a foundation of robust stainless steel liners and a backspacer, combined with textured black G-10 scales, the Manix 2's handle encases a robust Ball Bearing Lock™ system.
This lock, one of our most resilient and fluid, employs a hardened steel ball bearing nestled in a polymer cage. Upon opening the knife, a plunger pushes the ball bearing onto a blade ramp, firmly locking it. Retracting the cage releases this lock, allowing for a smooth blade closure.
This mechanism ensures safety, as one can effortlessly open and close the knife with both hands, keeping fingers away from the blade's edge. Furthermore, the Manix 2 has a two-way hourglass clip, facilitating easy left or right-side tip-up carry for swift access and convenient transport.
With the blade's signature Round Hole and the lock system, the knife's design ensures complete ambidexterity in carry, deployment, and usage.
