While a 2-point sling is suitable for most situations, there are instances - such as deploying from a vehicle or engaging in close-quarters combat - where a single-point sling offers certain advantages. The Blue Force Gear Vickers 221 Sling, featuring the innovative polymer Burnsed Socket and patented RED Swivel, allows users to switch between 2-point and 1-point modes swiftly.
This is achieved by simply pulling on the RED Swivel knob and reinserting it into the Burnsed Socket located at the rear of the receiver. This instantaneous adjustability is maintained in single and 2-point modes, allowing seamless transitions from carrying a slung rifle to being combat-ready. The Quick Adjuster, a patent-pending feature, bridges the gap between the two primary uses of weapon slings - from transportation to combat.
Crafted with precision and pride using superior materials, all Vickers 221 Slings are proudly made in the US. Similar to the renowned Vickers Combat Applications Sling, a RED Swivel is sewn to the front of the sling. At the same time, a standard push button swivel and moulded Burnsed Socket are woven onto the rear, providing full adjustability for use with or without body armour. The 221 Sling is designed to fit any weapon with two QD sling swivel sockets, with the rear socket positioned towards the receiver's end. For weapon systems such as SCARS, Sigs, and HKs that feature eyelets at the rear of the receiver, a Universal Wire Loop with a Push Button Socket can be added instead of the included push button socket.
The all-new Nylon Hardware version also incorporates newly designed DuPont Zytel® nylon, offering a lightweight, strong, and flexible alternative to traditional plastic sling hardware. Notably, most BFG slings shipped to the US Military feature Nylon Hardware.
Furthermore, the comfortable 2" inline padded option, made from closed cell foam that won't separate or gain water weight, ensures the sling remains in place without moving up or down.
