The latest addition to the Byrd lineup is the uniquely designed Gooney. Its standout characteristic is its unconventional blade shape, which merges features from the sheepfoot, hawkbill, and Reverse “S” styles to create an exceptionally adaptable cutting edge.
Crafted by Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser, the blade is fully flat ground from 9Cr14MoV stainless steel, ensuring excellent edge geometry and low-resistance cutting performance. The robust back lock mechanism is integrated into a linerless handle that showcases grey, peel-ply-textured G-10 scales. The handle is equipped with a four-position pocket clip to accommodate various carry styles, allowing for tip-up or tip-down carry on either side.
A spacious lanyard hole at the end of the handle also enables easy attachment of fobs, lanyards, and safety lines.
