The original Temperance fixed blade was a practical cutting tool and a proud member of Spyderco’s “Martial Blade Craft” (MBC) family of knives. To facilitate safe training for MBC practitioners, a trainer version of the Temperance with a blunt edge and point was created.
This limited-edition Sprint Run revives this concept with a blunted blade made from 420J2 stainless steel. The blade is flat ground and features a series of holes to closely replicate the weight of its live blade counterpart while offering a rounded point and edge that are safe for controlled contact during training.
Its injection-molded FRN handle is distinctively bright red, clearly indicating its use as a training tool. Additionally, it comes complete with a dedicated Boltaron sheath and G-Clip. For serious students of defensive knife tactics, this trainer is the perfect complement to its live-blade counterpart.
