This version of the Bodacious further enhances its performance with a blade made from CPM® SPY27® stainless steel. Exclusive to Spyderco, this premium steel features a proprietary blend of alloys, such as vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, and nitrogen. The advanced formulation is enriched by cobalt, along with the cutting-edge Crucible Particle Metallurgy process, resulting in blade steel that excels in toughness, corrosion resistance, and edge retention.
The leaf-shaped, PlainEdge™ blade of the Bodacious showcases a full-flat grind and satin finish, optimising it for low-friction cutting performance. Complementing the blade, the handle is constructed with skeletonised stainless steel liners nested within smooth cobalt blue G-10 scales. These liners not only provide impressive structural strength but also serve as the foundation for the knife’s durable Compression Lock® mechanism.
Additionally, they offer a secure mounting platform for a broad-based pocket clip that is reversible for left or right-side tip-up carry.
