The Blue Force Gear PLATEminus™ V6 is constructed using the MOLLEminus platform, providing full MOLLE compatibility like the original PLATEminus™ while reducing weight and bulk compared to traditional armour carriers.
It was built to accommodate ESAPI/SPEAR armoured plates, and the PLATEminus™ V6 features fully enclosed plate pockets for protection. The "Plate6" includes built-in 6" x6" side plate pockets and cummerbund side closures. It also comes with a flat admin pocket behind the front loop field.
The Side Plate Pockets are available in two versions: a low-profile version without side plate pockets and adjustable side straps for low-threat environments and another version with side plate pockets that fit 6" x 6" hard armour side plates secured with a Ten-Speed® cummerbund for a more secure fit and additional storage for magazines or equipment.
The lidded pouches feature the innovative Ball Loaded Index Point, or BLIP™ for short. The BLIP was developed based on the realization that under challenging conditions, such as freezing rain, it is difficult to grasp a flat piece of webbing and distinguish a pull tab when your fingers are numb. The BLIP's design allows for easy gripping, regardless of weather conditions, making it an innovative and essential feature of the PLATEminus™ V6. This innovative design sets the PLATEminus™ V6 apart from other armour carriers, making it a must-have for any tactical gear enthusiast.
The back of the PLATEminus™ 6 Armor Carrier is designed with user comfort in mind. It is equipped with eyelets for running radio antennas and cables, allowing for easy connection of communication devices without the need for extra gear. The carrier is fully adjustable for user size, featuring adjustable hook and loop-secured shoulder straps and adjustable side straps. This user-friendly design ensures a comfortable and secure fit, allowing the user to focus on the mission at hand.
The front of the carrier includes a large loop field, which can be left empty or used to display name, department, or flag patches, adding a personal touch to the gear. The PLATEminus™ is designed to accommodate ESAPI or SPEAR armour plates in an enclosed twelve-plate pocket with or without soft armour backers. Depending on the size, it may also accommodate other nonstandard-sized steel or composite armour.
When selecting the carrier size, please ensure it matches the plate size, not the user's physical size.
