Easy to carry. Built to graft.
The professional eye can look at a knife and instantly recognize the work of a specialist. The dead giveaway: simplicity.
With its pure lines, subtle bronze details, and highly-ergonomic build, the Avant™ EDC folding knife contends its position at the top of the pack.
When he’s not designing, Eric Ochs likes to take in the views of his Oregon backyard from over 8,000 feet. He’s climbed a handful of PNW volcanic mountains and funnelled the power of perseverance from these missions into his hardworking designs. The evidence is in the flipper opening and the quick, smooth IKBS™ that uses lubed ball bearings in the pivot to deploy the blade at speed.
Built with a thumb disk for a more calculated, manual opening, once it’s deployed the locking liner adds a stable layer of safety without compromising on the ease of one-handed closing ability. The woven carbon fibre handles are compact and stable in hand, and the practical satin-finished spear point blade flourishes from the front country to the back. Ochs gave it a bronze pocket clip and pivot detail to polish the look, achieving some serious style points.
Back country utility and front country style combine to create the CRKT Avant™
