When the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) briefly contemplated the possibility of permitting knives on aeroplanes again, Spyderco took the opportunity to design the Roadie™ in alignment with their guidelines. This resulted in a trendy modern take on the traditional penknife.
Due to demand for a more significant option, the Roadie has a big brother: the Roadie XL. It retains all the critical characteristics of the original, including a non-locking “notched-joint” mechanism, a textured index-finger choil, and contoured, injection-moulded handle scales.
The Roadie XL features a full-flat-ground sheepfoot-style blade made from M398 stainless steel and incorporates the unique “Double Dent™”—a pair of symmetrical dimples on the blade that ensure a secure grip for two-handed opening without the need for fingernails. Additionally, the Roadie XL comes with a deep-pocket wire clip for easy carry right at the top of your pocket.
