The submachine gun 40 was produced from 1940 to 1944 by Erma and
Steyr. During this time about 1 million of the MP40s were producted this blank firing reproduction is manufactured in Germany by GSG. The GSG MP40 is cosmetically patterned after the iconic WWII sub-machine gun of the same name. Constructed from steel and high-impact polymers, the GSG MP40 feeds through a single-stack removable magazine, and is chambered in 9mm P.A.K. blank.
Top venting just above the magazine as UK law states that it must vent close enough to the point of discharge that if the barrel was cut at the point of barrel blockage, there is no barrel left to convert it into a live firing weapon.
