Its 3-15x magnification range offers flexibility in the field. At 3x, the scope provides a useful field of view for closer encounters, while 15x offers greater detail as well as precision at longer ranges.

Choose Between FFP and SFP

One of the main advantages of the R7 3-15x50 is the ability to choose between First-Focal-Plane and Second-Focal-Plane configurations.

In FFP models, the reticle's apparent size changes as magnification is adjusted, so its subtensions remain accurate throughout the magnification range. This makes the FFP version particularly well-suited to hunters who regularly use holdovers, corrections, or dials for longer-distance shots.

The SFP models maintain a consistent reticle size as magnification changes, providing a familiar and uncluttered sight picture across the zoom range. A bright fibre-illuminated centre point draws the eye naturally to the aiming point, making the SFP an excellent choice for hunters who value simplicity and fast target acquisition.

Both configurations are available with MOA or MRAD adjustments, allowing the shooter to choose the system they are most comfortable using.

The SFP version takes a simpler approach with capped elevation and windage turrets. These protect the adjustments against accidental knocks or movement while carrying the rifle, enhancing the features for hunters who prefer to establish their zero and use the reticle for their normal shooting requirements.

The R7 isn’t designed to perform well on the range. Its rugged 30mm tube construction is built to withstand hard field use, changing weather, and demanding hunting environments.
