A seasoned Green Beret created the CRKT Septimo™ Multi-Tool to be more than a convenience—he developed it from experience to serve as a lifeline.
In addition to the powerful blade, the Septimo™ Multi-Tool features a Phillips and flathead screwdriver, a bottle opener, and an adjustable wrench with a strong glass breaker.
Jeremy Valdez of Olalla, Washington, conveys combat background and time served in the 7th Special Forces Group to create the aptly named Septimo™ Multi-Tool, meaning “seventh” in Spanish. Developed along the lines of his tactical folding knife by the same name, the immediate motivation for this multi-tool design stems from his 2009 deployment to Afghanistan.
During combat, Jeremy was unfortunately involved in a helicopter crash. In the chaotic aftermath, the small knife he had failed to function when trying to pull fellow soldiers out of the burning, tangled wreckage. He felt a duty to his fallen comrades to design the Septimo™ and now the Septimo™ Multi-Tool variation with a thumb stud opening, a desert-proof black oxide finish, and friction points on the handle to help grip in turbulent conditions.
It was given a single Veff Serration™ for its impressively practical strap-cutting capacity.
